HELP! DCI Photo Book missing corps

| |
I am working on a new book project that will include approximately 2,200 photographs of drum and bugle corps. These groups participated in one or more of the Drum Corps International Championships between 1972 and 2006.

I have spent the past 10 months going through the Drum Corps World photo archives — which are quite extensive, with well over 15,000 prints — but there are a number of corps I have been unable to locate. I have also posted previous lists on the DCI, Drum Corps Planet and Drum Corps World Web sites, as well as included articles on several issues of Drum Corps World last spring and communicated with more than 50 photographers who have shot the activity over the last 35 years. Because I want this book to be 100% complete, I need your help in finding representative photographs of the corps listed below.

I am seeking close-up pictures that show the uniform and a few members in action and I’m trying to avoid staged or formal pictures, but will use that type of photograph if nothing else is available.

If you can help by supplying a black and white or color print or a JPG electronic image of one or more of these corps from the specific years indicated — or if you know someone who might be able to fill in some of the blanks by loaning me prints — please e-mail me at your earliest convenience, publisher [at] drumcorpsworld [dot] com.

If you can send an electronic image, I need a high-resolution JPG file that will reproduce at 300 dpi on high-quality, glossy paper stock. If you have prints, I would like to borrow them. I will scan and return them immediately. Please be sure to indicate the corps name, the year, the photographer’s name, if available, and include your return address.

Send prints to:

This book is scheduled to be published in early November, so I need to hear from you very soon. The deadline for receiving photographs is October 10. Because of the upcoming deadline, corps that I am unable to find pictures of will be noted in text at the end of each section of the book.
