Madison Scouts Announce New Exec Dir

The Madison Scouts announced today that Jeff Spanos has been named Executive Director effective September 5, 2006.

According to Madison Scouts Board of Directors President Jeff Manion, "Jeff Spanos has all the qualities the Board of Directors was looking for: an intimate awareness of the corps and its history, an understanding of the corps’ philosophy, leadership experience, a business background, and an eagerness to maintain and further develop the performance and organizational excellence of the Madison Scouts. We are excited to have found such a high-quality person for this position."

Spanos has been involved with the organization since 1989 as a marching member, staff member and consultant. He also has been extremely active in the percussion world as a performer, consultant and educator. As well, Spanos has worked for Drum Corps World, Yamaha Corporation of America and Lincoln Financial. He lives in Madison, WI, with his wife and two children.
