Capital Sound is pleased to announce the appointment of former Madison Scout drummer Keith Dudek as percussion caption head/arranger for the 2007 season. For 20 years, Dudek has worked at the national level as a percussion educator, arranger and performer. He is also a national and international touring drum set artist with Dreamworks, Warner Bros., Sony, and BMG recording artists.

Corps director Marc Gofstein is happy to have Dudek join the corps. “Getting Keith on board is a strong sign we’re taking the next step in our development,” he said. “Not only is his marching experience a tremendous benefit but, by being a professional musician, our kids will get an even better education.”

From 1986 to 1988, the year the Scouts won the championship, Dudek marched with the Madison Scouts. He shared Gofstein’s enthusiasm at being a part of the corps. “I’m very excited for the opportunities we have at Capital Sound,” Dudek said. “The chance to work with a group that’s on the rise is something that is really appealing.”
