Crossmen Name 2007 Guard Caption Head

Mr. Michael K. Sloan is starting his 9th year at Winston Churchill High School this fall where he is the Visual Coordinator, Drill designer and Guard Director. He marched the Phantom Regiment Drum & Bugle Corps from 1981 to 1990. During those years, Mike performed as a member of the Baritone line and was the Phantom Regiment’s Drum Major in 1987 and 1988. In 1992, Mike aged-out of Drum Corps with the Blue Devils where they placed 1st in color guard at the Drum Corps International Championships and he was named “Rifle” of the year and “Rookie” of the year. Mike has been a member and a designer for many nationally ranked Independent Winterguards and Drum Corps around the country including State Street Review, Guardsmen, 6582, Sundownders, Blue Knights, Phantom Regiment, and the Velvet Knights.
