Waggoner Appointed Capital Sound Color Guard Caption Head

Raymond Waggoner, a current college dance performance major and former DCI Division I marching member, will join Capital Sound Drum & Bugle Corps as color guard caption head for the 2007 season. Waggoner, who currently resides in North Carolina, formerly marched with the Bluecoats and Crossmen in addition to performing in winter guard and dance ensembles.

“Getting a recent D-I alum is fantastic,” said corps director, Marc Gofstein. “Ray brings an energy and passion that will greatly benefit our guard members. Plus, with his equipment and dance training, and his experience with the Bluecoats and Crossmen, our guard will get great training.”

Waggoner will not only be leading the guard, but will assist with movement for the whole corps during winter and spring camps. He is currently studying dance performance at East Carolina University in Greenville, NC.
