Madison Scouts Announce 2007 Guard Staff

The Madison Scouts Drum & Bugle Corps is pleased to announce its 2007 guard staff. “One of our primary goals while putting together the 2007 staff for the Madison Scouts was to identify and recruit a top-notch team of guard designers and teachers. After a lengthy process, we believe that we’ve accomplished that goal and we are extremely excited about the staff we’ve brought together,” stated Executive Director Jeff Spanos.

Caption Coordinator Tracy Wooton has over 20 years of experience as a director, designer and instructor with groups such as Miamisburg HS, Northern Lights Winterguard, Northmont HS, Pride of Cincinnati Winterguard, Crestview HS, Escalade Winterguard, West Carrollton HS, Fairborn HS, Centennial HS, Evergreen HS, Blackhawk HS, Badin HS, Lincoln-Way HS, Clarkston HS, Westland HS, Top Hats Winterguard and Southwind Drum & Bugle Corps. Wooton was a member and captain of the Miller’s Blackhawks and Springboro HS guards. He has also worked with many competitive marching band programs throughout the country, and has served on the WGI Board of Directors for 15 years.

Choreographer JC Caceres is a highly sought-after choreographer, designer and visual consultant. He has worked with dozens of winterguards and marching bands, including Northern Lights, Inifiniti, Nolan, Signature, Plymouth-Canton HS, Miamisburg HS, Ronald Reagan HS, Murphy HS and has also designed for the Bluecoats and Crossmen. He marched with The Cadets, Nolan Independent and Northern Lights. Caceres is also an accomplished songwriter and guitarist, and currently plays lead guitar in a well-known Portland-based band, Amara.

Caption Head Anthony Erevia is an alumnus of the Madison Scouts, Emerald Marquis and St. Ann’s. He has recently been the caption head and designer for the Connecticut Hurricanes and is currently teaching the St. Ann’s Winterguard. Erevia has taught several well-known guards across the country and in England, including Mayflower Winterguard, Kiwanis Kavaliers, Carolina Crown, East Coast Jazz and the Norwich Free Academy marching band.

Staff member Tasha Baryski is an alumnus of the Connecticut Hurricanes, Blessed Sacrament, and St. John’s of Beverly. The primary focus of her teaching has been St. Ann’s Winterguard of Neponset, MA. Baryski is an elementary school teacher for special needs children who suffer from Autism
