Raiders Open House & Drum Major Auditions

The Raiders Drum & Bugle Corps from Wayne, New Jersey are proud to announce it’s Official Open House date of December 2, 2006, from 10am till 5pm. The Open House will be held at the Passiac County Technical School, 45 Reinhardt Road, Wayne New Jersey,07470

"We are very excited about our first open house of the season, we anticipate the largest turnout in the corps history" adds Tom Maiello, Raiders Director. "We recruited at a number of USSBA Band shows over the fall and used some new and unique recruiting techniques too". Our initial responses have been fantastic and we anticipate a great turn out"

The Raiders would also like to announce that they will be hosting DRUM MAJOR Auditions on January 13th and 14th, 2007. Maiello adds, " We are looking for someone that wants to take control of a World Championships organization both on and off the field of competition. Someone that can understand that a Drum Major is not just a Conductor on the field, but someone that can lead, teach, listen and learn off the field too". Interested Candidates should be prepared to conduct their own 60-90 second musical piece and also submit a written summary no more than 150 words long on why they would be the best person for the position. Potential Candidates will also interview with The Corps Brass Caption Head, Percussion Caption Head and Corps Director and Executive Director.

The Raiders Drum & Bugle Corps is one of the "Most Successful Division 2/3 Drum Corps from New Jersey in DCI History" While Winning the Division 3 World Championships in 2005, the corps also became the Silver Medalist in 2001 and Bronze Medalist in 2006, along with being a 9 time Division 3 World Finalist and Semi Finalist.
