Blue Knights Release Downloadable Documentary
For the first time in drum corps history, and for the Blue Knights Drum & Bugle Corps organization, fans can now download, (for less than $5), the Blue Knights’ 2006 tour documentary “Dark Knights”.
This 40 minute near-DVD quality video can be downloaded for a one week rental fee of $4.95 and will play on most Windows Media Player computers. The video rental link can be found at www.bknights.org. It includes the tour documentary and the World Championship performance along with previews of all the extras available when you buy the DVD. The complete DVD contains an additional 50 minutes of extra content and will begin shipping Monday, just in time for Christmas.
“This is an exciting time for us” states Mark Arnold, Director of the Blue Knights. “Not only are we releasing our first tour DVD from an incredible performance year, we also get to share our tour documentary with the world just in time for Christmas”.
The tour documentary was produced by John Christensen, an award-winning producer and creator of many corps videos for the past 8 years. The documentary gives viewers a peak inside the personalities and the special bond created between corps members, who succeeded in lifting BK up to 7th pace this year in DCI Championships.
“The documentary is unique in that you get a chance to see the true personalities of the kids we interviewed,” says Christensen. “After watching it, viewers commented how much they enjoyed the family bond that is evident among the Blue Knights members.”
All net profits from the video download rental go to the Blue Knights organization.
