Pacific Crest Announces 2007 Program

Pacific Crest proudly announces its 2007 program, “What Happens in Vegas…”

Building on their crowd-pleasing and jazz-infused “From the City of Angels” program, Pacific Crest turns its attention to the images of 1950’s Las Vegas: The Strip awash in neon…Showrooms and showgirls… The sun-drenched desert…and the lure of easy money.

As the show begins, a young man comes to town with nothing but big dreams and small change. Over 24 sleepless, exhilarating, and sometimes dangerous hours, he makes a fortune and finds love in the same smoke-filled casino.

Unfortunately, in Las Vegas, both fate and love are often treacherous, and sunrise finds him broken and alone. But before he leaves town for good… there is a single chip left in his pocket and a very familiar looking girl watching from the bar.

The score features Viva Las Vegas (What’s a Vegas show without Elvis?!), and jazz standards including Luck Be a Lady, Love for Sale, and the Sinatra classic Angel Eyes,. Paired with an iconic drill from new designer Jeff Fackler, this year promises to be anything but a gamble for Pacific Crest.

Pacific Crest will be entering its 14th year of competition with its most extensive tour ever. Auditions will be held in Diamond Bar on December 16th and 17th. For more information, go to www.pacific-crest.org.
