Cadets’ Uniforms Honor Both Past And Present

George Petrencak wore the Cadets’ Maroon and Gold for the first time in 1952 when he was just 12 years old. For seven years, the young man marched within the ranks of Holy Name, his final two as an inspiring leader and drum major.

Petrencak wouldn’t return to wear the traditional West Point-style jacket adorned with intricate white cording, sparkling buckle and buttons. A tragic accident took his life in February 1959. He was only 19-years-old.
