Kilgore Named 2007 Carolina Gold Percussion Head

Allen Kilgore has been named Percussion Caption Head for the 2007 Carolina Gold Drum & Bugle Corps and the 2007 GOLDRUSH Mini-Corps.

The Carolina Gold Drum & Bugle Corps is proud to introduce Gold veteran and longtime percussion captain Allen Kilgore as the Percussion Caption Head for the 2007 Carolina Gold Drum & Bugle Corps and the 2007 GOLDRUSH Mini-Corps.

Allen has been a member of Carolina Gold since the inaugural competitive season in 2001-2002, performing in the snareline. He has been the Percussion Captain since 2002.

During the recent 2006 season, Mr. Kilgore also served as the Snare Section Technician.

Allen is currently a percussion consultant with the Shenandoah Sound Drum & Bugle Corps from Sterling, Virginia, and is on the percussion staff with West Springfield High School from Springfield, Virginia.

During the past few years, he has arranged, taught, and coordinated percussion with many other high school programs throughout Virginia and the East Coast; including Ocean Lakes High School from Virginia Beach, Virginia; Alta Vista High School from Alta Vista, Virginia; and William Campbell High School from Naruna, Virginia.

Mr. Kilgore is a graduate of Virginia Commonwealth University with Bachelor Degrees in Engineering and Physics, and resides in Alexandria, VA where he works as a Project Engineer.
