Austin Stars To Add Winter Guard, Percussion In 2008

The Austin Stars board of directors and staff members met on March 10 and were glad to have Evan Morgan there in person as he was on leave from his duties with the Air Force in Afghanistan. Evan will be back home permanently in early August this year.

Great progress is being made including the finalization of this summers schedule, approval of this years corps uniform (to be revealed at the Texas Drum Corps Preview on June 16th) and discussion about winter guard and winter percussion programs for the 2008 season. The drum corps will have about 20 members this summer and will perform at events in Austin, San Antonio, Houston and Dallas / Ft. Worth. Spots are still available in all sections, especially trumpet. (a.k.a. Bb Soprano BUGLE!)
