Mighty St. Joe’s Attica Winter Concert Report

In one of Mighty St. Joe’s Alumni Corps’s earliest performances of a new season, the corps hit the stage at Attica High School on Sunday afternoon, March 18th, to perform a benefit concert for the Crossroads House, a ministry for the terminally ill in Genesee and Wyoming Counties. With about ¾ of its members onboard, the corps previewed it’s repertoire for 2007 with a rousing response from those in attendance. Under the very capable direction of Ron Bowks the corps started out ‘off the line’ with it’s new rendition of “Something’s Coming” arranged by Donny Allen (brass) and Larry Darch (percussion). With the musical emphasis this year on the Latin scene, the corps followed up with its three concert tunes “Brazil”, “Summertime” and “Temptation” to which the crowd responded with a standing ovation and a request for more.
