It is with great honor and pleasure that the Raiders Drum & Bugle Corps of Wayne, NJ make the following announcement.

George Hopkins Director of the Cadets and CEO of Youth Education in the Arts (YEA!), announced recently the organization has decided to donate the Cadets Pre-Owned 47 Ft Food Trailer to the Raiders Drum & Bugle Corps.

"We’re happy to assist the Raiders in their pursuit of bringing a high quality experience to their current and future membership, said George Hopkins, Director of the Cadets and CEO of Youth Education in the Arts (YEA!). We hope the food trailer donation to the Raiders’ team will serve its purpose well as it did for the Cadets members, staff and volunteers through the thousands upon thousands of meals which were lovingly prepared while it was in service. We enjoy a solid working relationship with the Raiders through our fall USSBA program and it is our intention to continue to build relationships with corps like the Raiders as we collectively work to keep the drum corps activity alive. Bon appetite to our friends in New Jersey!"

Tom Maiello, Director of the Raiders, was overwhelmed with excitement when he received the news. “First and foremost, I would to thank George Hopkins and the ENTIRE staff of the Cadets and YEA! for this generous donation. Our relationship with YEA! has become stronger each year and we look forward to continue working with them in the future. We have been working with the USSBA during the fall band seasons and we have had a number of students further their drum corps career with the Cadets and YEA! This is truly one of the most generous actions I have seen in my 16 year tenure with the Raiders. The corps has been using a converted School Bus as a kitchen, it’s been gutted out and stoves and refrigerators were installed, but it was very tight inside and had very limited storage space. This trailer from the Cadets & YEA! is exactly what the corps needs for it’s 2007 trip to California and many more season to come. This helps the Raiders plans to become a larger and stronger drum corps. We have a growth, operational and organizational plan in place for the corps, we are ahead of schedule and having this food trailer will add to our success. We would like to extend an open invitation to the Cadets members and their staff to meet up with us summer for a well deserved meal! Once again, THANK YOU!
