Rochester Crusaders Host Paul Rennick Clinic

Rochester’s own Two-Time American Legion National Champion and 33 Time DCA Finalist, Rochester Crusaders are proud to be sponsoring a Drum Clinic with Mr. Paul Rennick.

The clinic will be held Saturday, March 17th from 1pm to 9pm and Sunday, March 18th from 9am to 3pm at Jamestown High School in Jamestown, NY. Directions can be found by checking out our website at www.rochestercrusaders.org.

Paul Rennick has his B.S. in Music Education from Indiana University of Pennsylvania and a M.M. in Performance from the University of North Texas where he is a member of the percussion faculty. Having taught, written, and arranged for many of the most successful percussion ensembles in the country, Paul is recognized as a leader in the field of marching percussion. He has been a featured clinician at the Percussive Arts Society International Convention, several Music Educator’s Association Conventions, as well as many Percussive Arts Society State Conventions.

Paul is the director and arranger for the Contemporary-Pop Percussion Ensemble, which has featured some of the world’s most renowned percussionists as guest artists. Since 1989 Paul has written and designed the shows for the 13-time PAS National Champion University of North Texas Indoor Drumline. He has also been percussion arranger and caption head for the Concord Blue Devils, Sky Ryders, Velvet Knights, and Carolina Crown Drum & Bugle Corps. He is currently the director of percussion for the Phantom Regiment Drum & Bugle Corps.

Paul was a design team member, music composer/arranger, instructor, and percussion manager for the Tony & Emmy Award winning production "Blast!", recently on tour throughout the U.S. He has also been musical arranger for the Conrad Jupiters Hotel Casino in Gold Coast, Australia, and directs the percussion troupe "Stickworks" which has performed throughout Australia and currently in the U.S.

An active arranger and instructor for schools across the United States and Canada, his credits include numerous P.A.S., W.G.I., B.O.A., and MACDBA National Championships. Paul has been a clinician and contributing writer for the Yamaha Corporation and is currently on staff as a National Artist/Clinician with the Pearl Corporation, Remo Inc., the Avedis Zildjian Co., and a Signature Artist with Innovative Percussion. He is also a member of the P.A.S. Marching Committee, and has many percussion ensemble works published through Drop 6 Media.

The Rochester Crusaders Drum and Bugle Corps is a non-profit musical, visual and educational organization, that provides quality instruction that focuses on a musical and visual program that is both artistically and technically challenging. While being a competitive unit which travels all over the Northeast, we strive to bring the Rochester community closer to the unique activity of Drum and Bugle Corps which we perceive as an art form. The Crusaders also strive to keep the spirit of competition and the camaraderie throughout the Drum Corps community.
