VK Announces 2007 Drum Major

Blair Lezcano was chosen from a field of three very qualified candidates. The other two candidates are students at Cal State University Long Beach, and University of Kentucky respectively.

Blair is a junior at Canyon High School in Anaheim Hills. His interests include trumpet, piano, composition, conducting and advanced electronics. He plays the solo trumpet chair in jazz band and serves as assistant drum major on the field. He also leads the Canyon High School award winning solar powered boat team. His expertise as a musician and passion for excellence makes him the perfect drum major for the new incarnation of The Velvet Knights Drum & Bugle Corps.
