CorpsVets Director’s Update

| |

With fantastic recruiting and their best retention in years the talent level of the 2007 CorpsVets is impeccable. Execution of the arrangements and guard work is well ahead of any previous schedule. The staff (one of the best they’ve ever assembled) has challenged the membership with extremely difficult, yet crowd pleasing charts and designs. And CorpsVets members have responded with enthusiasm!

The May 5-6 camp saw another goal reached with the completion of two thirds of their 2007 show “Celebration!”. The next two camps will complete the drill for the final third of the show and continue fine tuning the corps for their 2007 debut in Alpharetta, Georgia at DCI’s “Atlanta Brass Classic” on June 23rd. From their opening statement "Georgia", though the fast and pulsing melodies of "Bacchanalia" to the sizzle and Latin influence of the brass, drums, and guard in "La Fiesta", the first half of the show is truly a drum corps fans dream. Once the fan favorite "Remembrance" is added (with an anniversary touch), this show will be one not to miss!
