Drum Corps Returns to Concord Pavilion

After a seven-year absence, the sounds of horns and percussion return to the Sleep Train Concord Pavilion on Sunday, May 6th at 2pm in Concord, California. The FREE event kicks-off the Blue Devils’ 50th Anniversary year with an early-season preview of the 2007 shows from all 3 of the Blue Devils corps – A Corps, B Corps, and C Corps. Also scheduled to appear are Santa Clara, the Renegades, and the Blue Devils / Santa Clara alumni corps – who are slated to perform at the DCI Western Regional at Stanford University, the week before DCI Championships.

The concert is being produced by the Blue Devils, in association with the Sleep Train Concord Pavilion, and the City of Concord. Food and beverages will be available thru the Pavilion concession stand. While concert admission is FREE – parking at the Pavilion is $8 per automobile.

We’ve learned today that the Blue Devils plan to announce the details of their 2007 production and provide clips from tomorrow’s Pavilion concert in an upcoming issue of their BlueView video magazine, which will be available on the Blue Devils site in the next few days.
