In The News: South African Field Band Foundation Celebrates 10th Anniversary

While others cut a cake to celebrate anniversaries, the Field Band Foundation (FBF) is hitting the studio to record a CD to mark its 10-year birthday.

The 80 minutes of music will feature jazz artist Brian Thusi and 37 other musicians.

Senior members, from the age of 20, have been selected to perform on the CD, which will be released in September. Trumpets, snare drums, marimbas and bass drum will be heard, while a choir will back the instrumentals.
