In The News: Blue Stars Aim For Elite Top 12 Status

The La Crosse Blue Stars Drum and Bugle Corps made a grand return to Division I last year with a 14th-place finish at the Drum Corps International World Championships.

The Blue Stars were the Cinderella corps at the 2006 world championships with one of the best finishes of any corps in its first year returning to Division I. In their first year back in Division I since 1982, the Blue Stars were within five points of the finals and had their best Division I world championship finish since 1980, when they narrowly missed the finals and placed 13th.

This summer, the corps is setting its sights on making the championship finals as one of the elite corps.
