In The News: Drum Corps Show Turns 25
A bad start has turned into a successful and long-lived tradition in Ankeny.
Twenty-five years of marching, drumming and bugling have come and gone with the city’s annual summer performance of Celebration in Brass, which celebrates its silver anniversary Friday.
Looking back, organizers chuckle at the thought of an event that debuted to funnel clouds, rain, thunder and lightning, but evolved into a tradition of summer entertainment.
