In The News: West Union Musician In Worldwide Tour

A young performer, Dustin Bays from West Union, will be performing this summer with Carolina Crown Drum & Bugle Corps, one of the top drum & bugle corps in the world.

Bays, a very talented and accomplished performer in the brass section, and 19 other young South Carolinians, will be performing with Carolina Crown on the Drum Corps International “Summer Music Games” tour. Based in Fort Mill, Carolina Crown’s tour began on June 16, with a competition in Annapolis, MD, in the stadium at the US Naval Academy, and will end, with the World Championships in the Rose Bowl Stadium, Pasadena, Cal., the second week in August.

This superb young musician, and the other 134 corps members, will be seen by millions of spectators, both live on the competition field, and on giant screens in select movie theaters all over the United States during the Quarter Finals in the World Championships. In addition, the highlights of the World Championship Finals will be shown in September, on ESPN2.
