DCI Eastern Classic Night One Report

| |

J. Birney Crum Stadium was packed tonight as fans gathered to watch 11 incredible drum corps on the first night of the DCI Eastern Classic in Allentown Pa. The Cadets (85.700) won tonight’s event, as Phantom Regiment (83.950) placed second, with the Santa Clara Vanguard (83.425) shortly behind in third. This score by the Cadets is the highest of the 2007 Summer Music Games to date, and the corps still has much in store as they move closer to the Rose Bowl Stadium in Pasadena, Calif.

“The Cadets’ performance tonight was one of the best they’ve had this season. The corps just keeps getting better and better every day,” said Joshua Gall, the tuba specialist for the Cadets. “But like every year, the show will not be complete until the World Championship Finals. We certainly have a lot of work to do in the coming weeks, and hopefully we can hold on to what we have right now.”
