In The News: Bluecoats Bring Music To West Monroe High

One of the top groups from past Northeast Louisiana Summer Music Games returns to West Monroe next week for public rehearsals on Tuesday.

The Bluecoats Drum and Bugle Corps from Canton, Ohio, will rehearse throughout the day Tuesday at West Monroe High School, with a run through its entire show at the end of the day. The Bluecoats finished first in 2005 and second in 2006 at the summer music games.

The group’s show this year is titled "Criminal" and includes pop hits from Fiona Apple, Michael Jackson and The Police, among others. While the corps has no set time for the full run-through, music games organizer Bryan Shackelford said rehearsals will go on all day and said anyone waiting to see the performance should arrive in the cooler hours of the evening, around 7:30 p.m.
