In The News: Cessna Stadium Hosts Drums Across Kansas

Seven drum corps from across the country gathered Tuesday night at Wichita State University’s Cessna Stadium to compete in Drums Across Kansas. For the groups involved, the contest was one stop on a summer long musical marathon.

Ross Viner has been the contest coordinator for Drums Across Kansas since it began 10 years ago.

Viner said the groups travel the country, competing and honing their marching-band-style routines in preparation for the Drum Corps International’s final contest in August.
