In The News: Drum Corps Dazzle Audiences With Stop In Sevier

It was a night of flash and brass Monday as the Sevier County High School Band held its 31st annual Drum Corps International competition.

The event, which is a fundraiser for the high school ensemble, drew six touring groups and hundreds of people out to Burchfield Stadium. Band director Russell Ramsay called the event a "great success."

"It looks like we’ve got a good crowd tonight," Ramsay said. "This event has been a good thing for bands in East Tennessee."
