In The News: Illinois Group Wins Drum Corps Competition

It was criminal Saturday night, as the Bluecoats color guard marched onto the field in their orange jumpsuits. Of course, that is the name of their show this year, and although they took third place in the annual Pro Football Hall of Fame Festival Drum Corps International Competition at Fawcett Stadium, they were No. 1 with the crowd attending.

Shouts of "Bloooooo" filled the stadium as the group took to the field in new uniforms in celebration of the corps’ 35th anniversary.

"With our 2007 Program ‘CRIMINAL’ we are throwing down the gauntlet in terms of power, aggressiveness and excitement," said David Glasgow, executive director. "We aren’t afraid to take a few risks this year, and you might even see a thing or two in this show that causes some controversy – nothing ventured, nothing gained."
