In The News: Musicians Become Athletes For Drummin’ Down The Trace

Music will become sport when seven drum and bugle corps compete in Drummin’ Down the Trace.

"A drum corps show is music in motion," said Floyd Stevens, event organizer, "and these kids are judged on what they do."

The corps include ages 14 to 21 who devote their summers to mastering music, as well as the presentation of that music. Think of a marching band with more than a month of 12-hour practice sessions.
