In The News: Sound Of Drums Fills Air In Rome
There were more drummers than open parking spots Sunday night on the streets surrounding Rome Free Academy Stadium during the 29th annual Drums Along the Mohawk event.
Eight drum corps competed, and one group performed an exhibition, Director Claudette Wire said. The groups came from as far away as Colorado, Georgia, Massachusetts and New Jersey, she said.
"And the audience came from farther away — some of them," she said.
