In The News: Toledo, Ohio, Group Offers Lessons In Percussion And Life

Local high school band members got a chance to march with some of the best drum and bugle corps members in the country — if not the world — Monday during a clinic conducted as part of Thunder in the Desert at Grande Stadium.

The Glassmen from Toledo, Ohio, showed youngsters from Midland and other Permian Basin towns, such as San Angelo, marching band techniques for drumming, horn playing and color guard.

Students also got a chance to march with the 135-member drum and bugle corps.
