In a drum corps, the colour guard traditionally marches and carries the flags. But in the Dutch Boy Drum Corps, the colour guard members wear astronaut jumpsuits.

And using modern dance and changing flag colours, they act out a rocket taking off while the horns and drums play appropriate space-theme music.

It’s part of the drum corps’ 2007: A Space Odyssey program that will be performed tonight at the third annual New Waterloo Band Festival.
