In The News: Drum Corps Perform At Chattahoochee

Johns Creek welcomed the Drum Corps Associates’ southern division teams last weekend as they competed in the Peach State Invitational. Despite the brutal heat, all drum and bugle corps entertained spectators with their intricate routines and dedication to the craft.

Alliance, the local team, took top honors in the Class A Division, beating Houston-based Gulf Coast Sound by less than five points for a total of 77.9. The team also captured all four of the caption awards – high color guard, high percussion, high brass and high general effect.

The Atlanta-based Corps Vets took first place in the Open Class competition with a score of 86.688 over Music City Legends’ score of 81.8. Corps Vets also managed to steal the caption awards.
