In The News: Fireworks Cap Grueling Drum Corps Competition

The 43rd annual Drum Corps Associates World Championships ended Sunday night with a bang as participants celebrated the conclusion of the three-day event outside PAETEC Park.

Fireworks exploded overhead after the Red Wings game at Frontier Field. "It’s like built-in entertainment, and we didn’t have to pay for it," said championships Chairman Allen Buell.

The Reading Buccaneers of Reading, Pa., won the world champion title after a grueling competition that featured 22 drum corps from across the country and Canada.
