Lizotte Continues With Rochester Crusaders

The Rochester Crusaders are happy to announce the return of Tom Lizotte as brass consultant and brass staff member for the 2008 season.

Lizotte, band director of Cape Elizabeth, ME. High School, is a veteran of 35 years in DCI and DCA. He has been a technician, consultant or design staff member of several corps, including Boston Crusaders, Colts, Cadets, 27th Lancers, North Star and Syracuse Brigadiers. He is a member of the Massachusetts Drum Corps Hall of Fame.

He said he is excited to return to the Rochester Crusaders. "Last year was a very special one for all of us. Being part of a turnaround is one of the most exciting parts of drum corps. It was so great to work with old friends like Jimmer and the O’Briens and to meet so many new associates. I loved the family atmosphere of the corps.

"We are looking forward to next season with great anticipation. The momentum from 2007 should lead to substantial continued progress next year. While an announcement of the show is in the future, I can say that Cru will continue to stand for great music designed to connect with the audience. Audiences are very important to us. I’m honored to be part of this quality corps of quality individuals."

Founded in 1947, The Rochester Crusaders Senior Drum and Bugle Corps is a 501c3 non-profit musical, visual and educational organization that provides quality instruction that focuses on a musical and visual program that is both artistically and technically challenging. While being a competitive unit which travels all over the Northeast, we strive to bring the Rochester community closer to the unique activity of Drum and Bugle Corps which we perceive as an art form. The Crusaders also strive to keep the spirit of competition and the camaraderie throughout the Drum Corps community.

The 2008 season is sure to be even more exciting with more growth for the Rochester Crusaders. We are accepting applications in all sections. Anyone interested can contact us at brianwilt [at] rochestercrusaders [dot] org.
