Spirit Welcomes Scott Boerma As Brass Arranger

Spirit from JSU is honored to announce master brass arranger Scott Boerma has joined Spirit as arranger for the 2008 season. Before joining Spirit, Boerma served as the music arranger and head brass instructor for the Madison Scouts from 1989-2006. He currently is the Associate Director of Bands, Director of the Michigan Marching Band and the Donald R. Shepard Associate Professor of Conducting at the University of Michigan.

"This is a fantastic addition to our staff. We are very excited that Scott will be joining us," says Randy Nelson Spirit’s Director for Programming and Creative Design.
