In The News: Writer Chronicles Drum And Bugle Corps’ Rise

Journalist Colt Foutz is building his career as an author with the publication of a new book: "Building the Green Machine, Don Warren and Sixty Years with the World Champion Cavaliers Drum and Bugle Corps."

During three of the busiest years of his life, Foutz, a freelance writer, new father and a candidate for two graduate degrees at Columbia College Chicago, immersed himself in the past and present activities of the Cavaliers.

Having all those different responsibilities was like "having your brain divided," he said, but finally giving birth to the book Dec. 1 was worth it.
