In The News: Drum Corps Provides Arts Education For Everyone

A recent Harris Poll revealed that 93 percent of Americans agree that the arts are vital to providing a well-rounded education for children. Organizations such as the Western New York Alumni Drum and Bugle corps are competitive, educational, exciting, fun, and give talented young performers another avenue to quench their thirst for the arts that may not be available in their schools.

Competitive marching offers a unique setting for life lessons and team building that are critical in life, and also provides an important grassroots for volunteer involvement and student motivation.

Drum corps not only help individuals develop a high level of self-awareness and self-confidence but provides communities a way to share ideas and values among cultures and generations.
