In The News: Local Man Is A Dedicated Bugler

Call him the “bugle boy” of American Legion Post 1097.

He’s John “Jack” Estlow, and he has been playing taps and other requested melodies at funerals for 70 years.

His bugling history began when he and a host of other boys became charter members of the drum and bugle corps that was organized in Danville in 1936.
