In The News: They Came, They Saw, They Marched

Devon Vincent didn’t expect to be treated like a celebrity on the Hillcrest Highlanders’ recent trip to perform for the pope, but that’s what happened.

"My favorite part of the trip was being treated like superstars," remembers Vincent, a junior. "I’ve never been treated like that … They would take five or six of us girls, let us through the crowd, and take pictures of their kids with us."

Devon’s mother, Sandy Vincent, still gets pop-bottle eyes and shakes her head when she talks about it.
