2008 Cadets February Camp Report

The Cadets made swift progress on the musical repertoire for their 2008 program last weekend, with some changes in the show line-up being made by the Creative Team, including the addition of a new middle selection, inspired by the work of Frank Sullivan and Kevin Ford, and to be assembled using the creative skills of Jay Bocook, Tom Aungst, and Neil Larrivee.

The corps’ program, “ … and the pursuit of happiness,” will now feature a middle dance production, heavy on percussion and brass feature segments, which will fall in place behind the opener An American Elegy and Nitro. Vesuvius, the third production, has been extended to nearly four minutes, according to Cadets Assistant Director Justin Heimbecker. Vesuvius will be followed by a final contemplative moment, utilizing the strains of An American Elegy to close the show.
