2008 Cadets Hall Of Fame Nominations Sought
Jim Costello. Don Van Doren. Jay Bocook.
You know the names. They are synonymous with the Cadets, their contribution forever etched in the corps’ honored Hall of Fame.
Costello, a marching and maneuvering instructor in the late 1940s and early 1950s, helped to lay the foundation of Holy Name. Van Doren, the corps’ brass caption supervisor for a total of six years, created a hornline dynasty during the Garfield and Bergen County years. And still masterfully arranging and inspiring musicians across the world is Jay Bocook, the Cadets brass arranger of more than a decade.
