In The News: How Emmaus Got Its Groove Back

They push in their earplugs. A goose-bump-raising rat-a-tat jumps off the snare drums. The bass drums join in and the sound thumps against your chest. The highs and lows of the horn section round out the sound.

The Emmaus Sentinels have got their beat back.

After a 31-year break, the hometown drum and bugle corps is together again, and getting ready for a parade to fete Emmaus’ 250th and 150th anniversaries next year.
