2008 DCE Championships In Parkstad Limburg Stadium

Drum Corps Europe is proud to present the venue for the DCE European Championships 2008: The ‘Parkstad Limburg Stadium’ in Kerkrade, home of the Dutch top class football club Roda JC. The beautiful stadium is located in the south eastern part of The Netherlands, close to the German and Belgian border.

The Parkstad Limburg Stadium has a main stand with a capacity of approx. 3,000 seats (500 more than the Sparta Stadium). "We think this is a fantastic venue for the DCE Championships", DCE Chairman Marcel Matthijsse said. "It was not easy to find a good stadium, because most football clubs are not very keen to allow corps to march on their pitch. But Roda JC has a lot of experience with this type of events, because they also host the World Music Contest every four years."
