Toledo Symphony And Glassmen Celebrate Success

On Saturday, April 12th several brass performers from the GLASSMEN joined the Toledo Symphony Orchestra for a very special performance of the finale of Respighi’s Pines of Rome.

In celebration of the TSO’s 65th Anniversary, the concert was an ‘all request’ show with the program selected in advance by the fans through an online poll. And what a show it was! With musical selections ranging from Broadway standards to Shostakovich; from Beethoven to Sousa and everything in between – the concert was truly a success. It was, however, the Pines of Rome and the performance by the GLASSMEN, that proved to literally be the ‘icing on the cake’ for this very special night of music and celebration in the community.
