N. Y. Skyliners Director Announcement

| |

Dear Skyliner Members, Alumni and Friends,

On behalf of the Board of Directors, I am extremely pleased to announce that Angel Munoz has accepted our decision to serve as director of the New York Skyliners. Angel brings to the director’s position a unique blend of experience, intelligence and leadership.

Angel has a drum corps resume that spans more than three decades with a number of different corps. As a Skyliner, he has distinguished himself not only as an accomplished percussionist playing snare, tenors, and pit, but for his leadership and dedication as well. This was recognized by his selection as section leader for the Skyliner tenor and snare lines and ultimately as drum line captain. In addition, Angel has served in a number of key administrative positions in various drum corps – quartermaster and assistant director – which provides him with an intimate understanding of the administrative underpinnings of a drum corps operation.

Beyond his extensive drum corps experience, Angel also comes with a summa cum laude BS with a focus on business management and communications. His more than a decade and half of proven leadership as a successful project manager with IBM has provided him the tools necessary for organizational planning, multiple-tasking, meeting deadlines and attaining goals.

Please join us in giving Angel a hearty Skyliner welcome!

In closing, we must also thank Harry Eldridge, Sr., for his recent service as director and his many years as a dedicated and committed member of the Skyliners. We look forward to his continued involvement.

Yours in drum corps,

Robert Holton
President, Board of Directors
New York Skyliners
