2008 Connecticut Hurricanes June Rehearsal Weekend Report

The Hurricanes had a great camp weekend which ended with a full run through performance of this year’s show Journey West.

This weekend also saw the addition of Kevin Lowery to the brass staff. Kevin is currently the brass caption head at Norwalk High School and previously has taught with the Cavaliers and the Crossmen.

Jonathan Schwartz was in town to work with the color guard. Jonathan had been the caption head for the Cadets color guard up until last year.

Director Bernie Malesky said "Adding some great talented staff this year has really paid off in the level of quality of the corps. Drum Corps audiences are going to be in for a real treat this summer. The corps is anxious to get the season underway."

The drum line and color guard are full. The corps is in need of a 1 baritone and 2 mellophones to fill out the brass at 48.
