The Drum Corps International Open Class World Championships take place a short seven weeks from today in Michigan City, Ind. In today’s Field Pass presented by Zildjian, Dan Potter gets the details on this inaugural Championship event from local Michigan City chairman Mike Pease. Kicking off on Aug. 4 with a special ceremony and other festivities, Pease says the event will be chock full of “Banners, Balloons and Booms (fireworks),” all in celebration of the very first DCI World Championships to be held in Indiana.
