One of the highlights of the West Texas summer returns at 7 p.m., Wednesday, July 16. The 8th annual Thunder in the Desert presentation will this year feature four of the country’s top-ranked drum and bugle corps performing at Grande Communications Stadium.

The precision choreography, razor-sharp percussion beats and clean, crisp brass melodies combine for edge-of-the-seat musical entertainment. The young musicians who make up the drum and bugle corps audition for the right to spend the summer touring with some of the most talented college-level artists in the country. The commitment, discipline and physical agility required to endure the summer schedule makes for the perfect tandem of athletics and fine arts for the corps members.
