In The News: DCI Competition Heats Up

The clouds rolled away just in time for drum and bugle corps from around the world to take the field Tuesday during the Drum Corps International quarterfinals.

"It’s a huge crowd, and we’re still building," said Mike Pease, local event chairman for the DCI world championships. "We’re having a ball."

Twenty-three groups, including Canada, Japan, the Netherlands, Sweden and the United States, competed in the DCI Open Class Division Quarter-finals and International Division competitions at Ames Field.
