In The News: Picnic In The Park Sunday

The world-class Rosemont Cavaliers and the Voters League picnic are a partnership that works very well every year.

This year in particular, however, the six-time world champion Cavaliers’ 60th anniversary celebration is making this weekend’s picnic something very special.

After the Cavaliers open the picnic Sunday at noon with a parade through the community and a short concert at Lange Park, the corps will adjourn to the Stephens Convention Center at 5 p.m. for its 60th anniversary observance. The Corps is in the midst of its final preparations for the Drum Corps International world championships at Indiana University in Bloomington on Aug. 7-9.
